Hosting Christmas this year?

Nobody asks about the turkey. Everyone asks about the stick in the wine.

A frozen steel stick keeps chilled wine cold on the table for up to 2 hours.

At Christmas dinner, a guest in a paper crown leans in to look at the steel cooling stick inside a bottle of white wine. A friend films it on her phone and the host smiles. ★★★★★ 4.8/5 · 370 reviews Get one to keep, one to give →Free UK delivery · 30-day refund policy
Picture this

2:40pm. The turkey is resting.

You’ve been up since six. The table finally looks the way you pictured it. The good tablecloth. Candles. A cracker on every plate.

You open a cold bottle of white and pour the first round. Then you do one small thing.

You take a slim steel stick out of the freezer and slide it into the bottle. A clear spout goes on top. The bottle goes back in the middle of the table.

Nobody notices. Not yet.

Second glass. Your mother-in-law reaches for the bottle. In twelve Christmases, she has never once said a word about your table. But she stops. The bottle still feels cold in her hand. She tips it to the light and squints down the neck.

“Hang on. What is that?”

Now every paper crown at the table turns.

Third glass. Your sister-in-law wants to know where you got it. Your neighbour wants to know why it pours so clean. Someone takes a photo. It isn’t of the turkey.

A guest in a paper crown takes a photo of the wine bottle with the steel stick inside, next to the Christmas pudding, while the host laughs

Then you notice something. You never got up. Not once. No trips to the fridge. No ice bucket dripping on the tablecloth.

Other years, your chair sat empty half the afternoon. This year, you stayed with your people.

By the Christmas pud, three people want the link.

Boxing Day morning, your phone buzzes.

Even better. I got two. One’s yours x
Delivered

You did the turkey. The roasties. The pigs in blankets. And this is what they text you about.

Honestly? It makes sense. It’s the one thing on the table nobody had seen before. People assume it cost a lot. Let them.

You’re the one with the answer now.

It’s not just your table. Under our videos, people tag their friends:

Emma Clarke Gemma Lloyd Becky Shaw we need this xxx
Hayley Brooks Claire Dawson do we need this?
Kerry Walsh think you might need this 😂
Vicky Barnes Lauren Pike Jo Harding Nat Fowler this is genius!!! 😳🤩😍🥂
Sian Morgan BOGOF, no brainer!

So what is it, exactly?

It’s the Lindner & Co Wine Cooler. Each box holds three pieces:

  • A slim stainless-steel stick. It lives in your freezer. Then it stands in the wine and keeps it cold.
  • A clear pour spout. It sits on top. It gives the wine a little air as you pour, with no drips down the bottle.
  • A stopper. For whatever’s left. (It happens.)

The steel is food-safe. There’s no ice, so nothing melts into your wine. No batteries, no plug, nothing to charge.

It fits standard 75cl bottles: white, rosé, prosecco and champagne.

A hand holding the closed Lindner & Co box, then the opened box with the clear spout and the steel stick in their insert

Why it works: the cold is inside the bottle

An ice bucket works from the outside. The cold has to get through the glass first. Meanwhile, the ice melts, the bucket sweats, and the bottle drips every time you pour.

The stick works the other way. It’s frozen steel, standing right in the wine. So the cold starts in the middle of the bottle. And there’s no ice in the bottle, so nothing waters it down.

Ice bucket

  • Cold from the outside
  • Ice melts, bucket sweats
  • Drips when you pour
  • Takes up room on the table
  • What guests say: nothing

The stick

  • Cold from the inside
  • Nothing melts
  • No drips when you pour
  • Just the bottle
  • What guests say: “What is that?”

Here’s the whole routine:

  1. Keep it in the freezer.Give it at least an hour. Most people just leave it in there, so it’s always ready. It won’t crack or burst.
  2. Pour the first round from a cold bottle. Both parts matter. We’ll tell you why in a second.
  3. Drop the stick in.The clear spout sits on top.
  4. Pour through the spout. No drips on the label. No drips on the tablecloth.

When the day’s over, all three pieces go in the dishwasher. The stick goes back in the freezer, ready for Boxing Day.

Three honest things, before someone at your table tests you

Honest thing 1

Start with a cold bottle.

Does the wine need to be chilled first 🤔

Yes. The stick isn’t a fridge. It won’t make a warm bottle cold. It keeps a cold bottle cold while it sits on your table. So chill the wine like you always do, then let the stick take over.

Drop it into a warm bottle and it can seem like it doesn’t work. Drop it into a cold one, and it keeps that wine cold for up to 2 hours indoors or in the shade. Still not for you? You’re covered by our 30-day refund policy. Just email contact@lindnerco.store.

Honest thing 2

Pour a glass before it goes in.

The stick takes up room. Drop it into a full bottle and wine comes over the top. One person in our comments put it best:

Yeah but don’t use it with a full bottle. Ask me how I know.

So pour the first round, then drop it in. Honestly, that’s the nicest way to serve anyway. Everyone has a glass the moment they sit down. The bottle stays on the table. So do you.

Honest thing 3

“Up to 2 hours” is the honest number.

Indoors or in the shade, it keeps wine cold for up to 2 hours. Outdoors on a hot day, with sun on the glass, plan on about 90 minutes. And yes, we see this one a lot:

Wait…your bottle lasts 2 hours?! 😉

Fair enough! Then every glass from that bottle is a cold one. But Christmas dinner runs long. The second bottle gets opened with the turkey and is still on the table at the pud. That’s the bottle that usually goes warm. That’s the one the stick is for.

Keep one. Give the rest. Here’s how that went.

We won’t pretend cheaper sticks don’t exist. If all you want is a cold rod in a bottle, go and get one. No hard feelings.

But a bare rod isn’t what you’re buying here. You’re buying the full kit, twice, and the second one arrives already boxed as a gift.

So here’s what comes in our box. You can check every line:

  • The full kit: the stick, the drip-free spout that airs the wine, and a stopper.
  • Food-safe stainless steel, made to live in your freezer.
  • Its own printed box, so the second one is ready to give.
  • All three pieces go in the dishwasher.
  • Free tracked UK delivery and a 30-day refund policy.

1+1 Free: 2 full kits for £29.99. Take 6 and it’s £13.33 each.

And think about that second kit. You were going to take something round to someone’s over Christmas anyway. A candle. Flowers that wilt in a few days. This one stays on their table. And every time someone there asks, “Where did you get that?”, they’ll say your name.

How long does it keep wine cold?

Does it work with prosecco and champagne?

What if it’s not for me?

You’re covered by our 30-day refund policy. Just email contact@lindnerco.store with your order number.

This year, let them ask.

Picture it. The pud is out. The crackers are pulled. The bottle in the middle is still cold.

Someone lifts it and squints down the neck. “Okay. Where did you get this?”

You smile. You get up, just this once. And you come back with a little box.

“Here. This one’s yours.”

At the Christmas table, the host in a paper crown hands her friend a small gift box tied with a satin bow; the friend puts her hand on her heart. The bottle of white wine with the steel stick stands by the Christmas pudding.

Freeze it. Pour the first round. Drop it in. Then sit back down with your people.
